Workers are planning to protest outside the DVLA office in Preston from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Tuesday.
Workers from the Public Commercial Services (PCS) union have confirmed they will stage a protest outside the office on Caxton Road, Fulwood.
The action is expected to see 58 members of staff taking part including 30 that are based at the office in the city.
The protest is in response to the governments announcement that it plans to shut the Agencys network of 39 offices across the country putting 1,200 jobs at risk, including 150 jobs in the North West.
PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka said: “We will not sit back and watch while jobs and highly-prized public services are stripped away." going on to say “Our local economies are crying out for support and investment, not more cuts."
